WA’S South-West has thrown up another monster wave captured in this stunning big surf photograph.                    

That is the heaviest wave ridden in Oz this year so far, hands down!

Riding the monster wave is NSW surfer Paul Morgan,

dealing with a very serious slab of Indian Ocean.

storm-main-pic-236x289South west WA residents have been warned to brace for a destructive storm bringing gales of up to 125 kmh tomorrow morning.

The Bureau of Meteorology says the winds will come along with a cold front over the state’s south west. Residents between Jurien Bay and Albany would be worst affected.

The worst of the front is likely to hit Augusta just after midnight, and Perth by sunrise, bringing heavy rain and winds that could damage homes and make travel dangerous.

There would be “locally destructive gusts” of up to 125 kmh, the Bureau said.

Hardly  a drop of rain has fallen on Perth as the city feels the second hottest start to the year on record.  rain9-753879

Perth has broke the record for the sunniest May on record today since 1876. 

Forecast shows that showers are coming to Perth about 3am tomorrow and continue until late Thursday.

Temperatures are going as low as 18 C forecast for Friday and chilly 17 C on Saturday.

Just 20mm of rain has fallen in Perth since January 1, less than half the first-quarter average of 42mm compared to last April 

The bureau expects below-average rainfall in the South-West to continue until June.
